HOT TAKE: February 28, 2026, Operation Epic Fury. The
war with Iran has involved 15 countries alone.
Iran has attacked 14 other countries in the middle east or NATO
countries with bases in the middle east.
The Strait of Hormuz, a very narrow body of water where about 60% of the
worlds crude oil ships through, has been blocked by the Iranian Navy
destroyers, corvettes, and fast boats. So
far the US Fifth Fleet, the two aircraft carrier groups in the Arabian Sea,
have sunk or knocked out over 40 of these ships. But the Strait remains closed as of the 8th. Several tankers of various nationalities are
on fire in the Persian Gulf. This has
caused a halt in the shipping of crude oil and LNG through the Strait for a
couple of weeks. The price of crude oil
is over $100 a barrel as of the 8th.
This is going to cause a ripple effect of the price of gasoline and
everything else related to oil. The
price of gasoline could reach $4.50 a gallon.
Iran has attacked with ballistic missiles
and armed drones the following countries, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman,
Quatar (Kutter), Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Turkey (NATO), Israel,
Cyprus (British Base), the US Navy and Air Force, Azerbaijan, The United
Kingdom’s base in Cyprus, a French base, and an Italian base somewhere in the
middle east. Home countries’, allied,
and US bases have been attacked. Various
refineries, oil ports, oil storage facilities, hotels, media, and other places
have been attacked.
This is a war of tit-for-tat, escalate,
wash, rinse, repeat. By this War Planner’s
standards, this war is pretty much on schedule no matter where you hear your
war information from, the TV News networks or social media. Try our guys on page one please.
Every US military attack and bombing
airframe has been used in Operation Epic Fury against Iran. B-2s, B-1s, B-52s, F-35s, F-22s, F-18, F-16, and
A-10s (Warthog). There have been over
4000 sorties by the US and Israel in their two combined bombing campaigns. However, the week of the 8th, the
US will probably start using US Special Operators, Tier One and Two, on the
ground in Iran for uranium gathering, target acquisition, sniper calls, and regime
change. Over 40 percent of the Iranian
population wants a friendlier change back to a more western approach. In the last few months Iran has experienced
many assassinations, explosions, and a severe water shortage, as well as
multiple protests by the people where over 30 thousand have died.
The Tier One and Two forces, although they
are being used around the world in over 60 nations presently doing military
assistance training for a home country, counter-terrorism missions, or hostage
rescue missions, or a variety of other missions that the President or SOCOM
authorizes. These forces headed to Iran
would probably include some of Delta Force, SEALs, Special Forces A-Teams,
Ranger battalions, and Marine Force Recon do accomplish whatever mission that
is placed in front of them. There is
also a possibility that a couple of Airborne Brigades, or several Battalions
could be called in, as well as a Helicopter Assault Brigade.
There are currently two US aircraft carrier
groups with their compliment of planes, helicopters, ships and submarines in
the Arabian Sea. Another US aircraft
carrier group is leaving the US for the middle east. The French Charles du Gaulle is also sailing
for the middle east. The British might
soon join them in the Arabian Sea or in the Med. The Italians will probably sail their last
mini carrier in the eastern Med. They
sold their older carrier to Indonesia recently.
It is unknown if the Indian Vikrant carrier group will be anywhere in
the AO. The Indians are pro-Israeli, but
they buy a lot of their oil and weapons from Russia. As long as China keeps one of their three
aircraft carrier groups out of the war, then we should be fine.
Russia has been supplying satellite GPS
location data to the Iranians on US and allied forces. Well, this is a war of tit-for-tat. The US gives Ukraine GPS intelligence on
Russian military locations so that the Ukrainians can use cruise missiles or
auto-planes on them. So far China is
staying out of the war, but is disgusted with Trump and others. China gets 80% of its crude oil from Iran and
the middle east and with the Strait of Hormuz blocked, and the Iranian oil
infrastructure being bombed to smithereens, then they are getting worried and
their backs are against the wall even more now.
China recently had a large purge of its
high-up military forces, especially the rocket forces. Supposedly many of the Dong Feng-3 ICBMs were
filled with water instead of solid fuel.
Their various parts of the economy are tanking, they have overbuilt
housing, they have a serious homelessness problem due to their rigid social
austerity plan. If you get one too many
social gigs, then you lose your job, your home, your education, etc., and you
wind up homeless on the street. You
can’t even go back into the military unless there was an emergency and a new
draft. Many US and western corporations
have pulled out of China to some extent and global shipping is down 10%. They even prosecute the Moslem Uighurs ethnic
group in the west, put them in concertation camps and make them do forced labor
in southwestern China. China is supposed
to have around 600 ICBMs, IRBMs, but with the water in the fuel tank concern,
we haven’t heard a new number. Perhaps a
third were affected. So, 400, and they
have 40 1 megaton (mt-million) warheads ICBMs city busters for the US and a
couple of other countries. We’re talking
about an eight-mile fireball and 12-mile over pressure zone.
Tiawan is not out of the woods yet, although
though there have been no Chinese incursions into the Taiwanese ADIZ recently,
China still has its mind bent on reunification.
The Chinese could use the backdrop of the Iranian war to invade Tiawan
soon. The next time the Tiawan Strait is
calm will be May. But the Chinese might
risk rougher waters for their plans anyway.

North Korea has been launching its usual set
of various IRBMs, ICBMs, etc. for testing into the Yellow Sea or further into
the Pacific Ocean. They now have the
Hwasong-20 ICBM out now. It has 20 axels
of four monster tires each. The thing is
a beast and probably has five warheads.
They have about 30-50 ICBMS with a 300 kt warhead, and the -17s, and
-18s can hit the US. They would aim for
the top 10 cities and military bases.
Their short-range nuclear missiles are for South Korea (ROK) and Japan
(ROJ).
India and Pakistan have been relatively calm
as far as the Kashmir area goes lately.
India has 180 nuclear weapons, with about 100 warheads destined for
Pakistan or China. India still has
border skirmishes in the Himalayas at 14,000 feet, with the Chinese where they
use fist, bats, rocks, and anything else Cro-Magnon that they can find. It is unknown if the Vikrant or her sister
carrier will sail soon towards the Arabian Sea.
India is mostly pro-Israeli, but buys Russian oil and weapons and is a
member of BRICS.
Pakistan is at war with Afghanistan Taliban,
back and forth. Pakistan has bombed Afghani
targets including a few cities and military bases. Pakistan will side with Iran in this war and
might use its missiles against Israel, if they can reach. But Pakistan has its own internal problems
with Baluchistan in the south that wants independence from Pakistan. Plus, it is still wary of India’s might. It is a member of CPEC (China). Afghanistan Taliban, Al-Qaeda, and others
would also align with Iran. The world of
geopolitics is weird, wild, and wacky.
Ukraine has been building various home-made
weapons systems including the Flamingo cruise missile (1400-mile range, 1000
lb. warhead), various auto-planes (Cessnas with 500 lbs. of C4), and other
systems. They also use various western
supplied weapons, although they are now in shorter supply. European nations must buy them off the US and
loan them to Ukraine for use. Ukraine
has been bombing Russia, anything within range to smithereens. Command centers, intelligence centers,
refineries, ammunition depots, factories, electrical grid, railroads, anything
to impede the Russian war effort. Ukraine hit some high value targets recently
including a factory that make various rockets and missiles for Russia, as well
as a drone factory, and a battery factory. Ukraine only targets military or
infrastructure items, whereas Russia targets civilians in Ukraine, apartment
buildings, malls, churches, etc., as well as military and infrastructure
targets. Russia is running out of
missiles, drones, tanks, BMPs (APC), and other equipment. So, Russia’s back is getting close to the
wall now, plus their economy is having a severe downturn. High inflation, high interest, high unemployment,
lots of layoffs, etc., and might have to resort to extreme measures on Ukraine
by using tactical nuclear weapons (1 kt) on Ukrainian cities and military installations.
It seems that it all started with Venezuela
several months ago, there was the massive build up of US Navy and Air Forces in
the Carribean Sea, and finally Trump struck on January 3, 2026, Operation
Absolute Resolve, and captured Maduro with Delta Force and 160th
SOAR. There were various bombings and
then a couple of weeks ago there was a 150-plane sortie that bombed Venezuela
and hit many military and drug targets.
Then just about everybody was gone.
There are a few destroyers, and other ships, and a submarine, still
hitting narco boats. The USS Nimitz,
that was supposed to go to its home port in Washington State and retire in
2027, got another deployment to the eastern Pacific Ocean by Panama, Columbia,
and Ecuador to do flight operations against drug cartels in four nations. The USS Nimitz was on her first deployment in
1980 in the Arabian Sea for Operation Eagle Claw, the ill-fated Iranian Hostage
Rescue mission in April 1980. I was on
the backside Forward Support Deployment (Casualties) team for that.
Trump has helped the Columbian government
with air support, and probably a couple of A-Teams for counter-narcotics
strikes. A few weeks ago, Trump helped Ecuador
with the same problem against narcotics and terrorists, doing some bombing by
planes or helicopters, and sent a couple of platoons of special operators to
help train and expose the bad guys. Trump
has bombed 11 countries since his return to office. He is no Ronald Reagan, I served and worked
with him, but DT is getting rid of the bad guys as fast as possible. What he doesn’t understand is that counterterrorism
and anti-terrorism is basically a game of whack-a-mole. The bad guys keep popping up. We learnt that much in Iraq and Afghanistan
in the 00s and 10s. President Donald J.
Trump has bombed/attacked Yemen (Houthis), Somalia (Al-Shabbab), Syria (ISIS),
Iran last June, Venezuela, Nigeria, and a couple of other African countries
that were experiencing extreme hatred against Christians by burning churches,
raping, pillaging, and beheadings by ISIS-A (see other newsletters), El
Salvador on drug strikes, Columbia, and Ecuador. He’s definitely giving the Special Operations
Community, the US Navy, and the US Air Force job opportunities.
There is a new organization coming called
the Shield for the Americas. DHS Secretary
was recently fired, er reassigned, for March 31st and is supposed to
lead it. It will have about 7 countries
to work on countering drug operations, and stead fasting American values across
the Americas. Whatever that is. Kind of like the old Monroe Doctrine. It involves the US, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala,
Columbia, Ecuador, and a few others as they sign on. But they basically must take/buy US
foreign/military aid and be willing to have US military help with their
terrorism and drug problems. More job
opportunities for SOCOM. These countries
will undoubtably join the Coalition of the Willing with about 50 other
countries.
The Coalition of the Willing consists of 50
to 60 countries, depending on who is getting attacked by whom. It includes NATO (32 countries- US, Canada,
Iceland, UK, EU-NATO), Five Eyes (add in Japan, South Korea, Australia), New
Zealand, Philippines, Indonesia, India-depending what day of the week it is,
Thailand-the same way, Israel, Egypt-most of the time, the GCS (Gulf Council
States)-currently being attacked by Iran, Switzerland, Austria, some other
European countries, Ukraine and now add the Shield of America countries. We’re supposed to be the white hats here.

The Axis of Evil consists of 10 countries
and 14 terrorist groups. The countries
are Russia, China, North Korea (DPRK), Iran (IRoI), Cuba, Venezuela, Syria,
Malaysia, Cambodia, Libya (if you can call it a country these days). The 14 Terrorist Groups are ISIS, Al-Qaeda,
Taliban, Houthis, Al-Shabbab, ISIS-A, Answar-Dine, a few narco-terrorist groups,
Hezbollah, Hamas, and a couple of others.
When the actual big war starts between the Coalition and the Axis, the
Axis will call upon the terrorists to supplement and attack the Coalition. So, because of that there will be many
fronts.
What causes WW3 HOT STATUS? Acts of conventional war between the
Coalition and the Axis. Russia attacking
NATO, China attacking Tiawan, DPRK attacking 3 countries, and other similar
events. Conventional war consists of
soldiers, aircraft, tanks, artillery, MLRS, rockets, IRBMs, cruise missiles,
ships and submarines. There will be tens
of thousands of casualties on all sides and a lot of scrap metal from damage
done to equipment.
What causes WW3 NUKE STATUS? I’m always getting 3-4 nuclear alerts a week
on my phone, but usually they are bluster or intimidating. When the actual vitriolic rhetoric from
mostly Russia is at a daily basis that they want to use nuclear missiles on the
US, UK, and NATO, then we are at a 3-hour watch and probably the 3-day notice
will go out to those who emailed me.
When there are large troop movements, such as new Russian divisions on
the NATO front or lots of Chinese ships being mustered in the Tiawan Strait,
then time is close and final preparations should be done. You should then make a final warning to
everyone. Watch the YouTube folks on
page one.
Strategic discernment is that I know as a
War Planner about how various scenarios will play out and how the troops and
equipment will get ready and deploy to their assigned theatres. U.S. Army Divisions (18,000 people) usually
have a strategic point that they are assigned to whether its Europe, the Middle
East, or Asia. Various National Guard
and Reserve units have the same manner.
There are 12 US Army active status divisions with 3 combat brigades each
(5,000 personnel). The Army basically
has 45 combat brigades (infantry, armored, artillery, engineer, airborne, air-assault)
and another about 35 combat brigades assigned to state National Guards. Reserve units are combat support and combat
service support. Each of these units, battalions,
or brigades, is responsible to a higher up and has a reserve mission for
deployment.
The Air Force is set up with action commands
(Strategic, Missile, Fighter, Transportation) and has National Guard and
reserve units also. The Navy has various
fleets with aircraft carrier groups and Marine Expeditionary Forces assigned to
them. The Navy has reserve units in
various states, even landlocked ones.
The Marines have regiments, like brigades, but tougher, to deal with the
enemy. There are about 20 Marine
regiments in active and reserve units.
The Coast Guard, although technically under DHS, has bases, ports,
ships, and reserve and annex components.
The USCG also helps patrol the Great Lakes, major rivers, the shores,
and even internationally. The Space
Force, the newest service, based mostly in CO, LA, CA, NE, and a few other
places, takes care of the space realm and a lot of cyber elements dealing with
space. Although not technically DOD/DOW,
the Public Health Service, PHS, NOAA, NASA, and NWS have uniformed elements and
awards aligned with them and can be called to active duty in times of extreme
war.
DOD/DOW is set up with various action
commands. The big one everyone should
know about is NORAD, North American Radar and Air Defense, set up in Cheyenne Mountain
Complex, underground by Colorado Springs.
They even track Santa. Other
major commands are SOCOM (Special Operations), EUCOM (European Command),
USCENTCOM (Central Command-runs the Middle East), INDOPACCOM (Pacific),
NORTHCOM (US and Canada), SOUTHCOM (Central and South America), STRATCOM
(Strategic-bombers, ICBMs), SPACECOM, CYBERCOM, TRANSCOM. Supposedly Europe and Africa are merging, as
well as the Americas. But the Point of
the Spear is STRATCOM, CENTCOM and CYBERCOM.
Without a war declaration, the President can
only mobilize 200,000 personnel from guard and reserve units or other
components for up to 2 years. DOD would
have to shift priorities around for various units or skills to accomplish the
various missions with the manpower that is available. When 9/11/2001 happened, we went to formal
war, and we did a full mobilization of all active, guard, and reserve units,
all other reserve components including, IRR, selective, and retiree. Almost 4 million were serving from 2001-2010,
and then it slacked off some with exception for the Iraqi and Afghani rushes.
Currently, 2026, there is not a Draft, to
summon men into the Army or Marines.
Everything is still All-Voluntary Military Services. For a draft to happen, certain events would
have to take place. First off, a very
large war (World War) or national emergency, second, all Reserve and Guard
troops must have been mobilized whether they are combat deployed or CONUS. This includes all units in the Ready Reserve,
individuals in the Select Reserve, individuals in the IRR (8-year obligation),
or retirees that are given home duty.
Right now, all 18–25-year-old men are
automatically registered with the Selective Service System in the US. It would take an act of Congress to activate
the SSS and signed by the President.
Then there is a 193-day waiting period while the various states and
territories create their SSS draft boards, statewide and county wide. At the end of that then the lottery is held
with 365 numbers and each date is issued a number, whereby lotto numbers are
called. Twenty-year old men (2006) would
be drafted first, then the 21-year-olds, 22-25, 19, and finally 18.5. All men drafted would have to go through the
MEPS system for testing and medical exams to see if they are fit for
service. If you don’t want to be an
Infantry grunt, join a reserve or guard unit with the skill that you want or
get exempted or deferred. You can look that up while there is still internet
service. Every new Fiscal Year (October
1) the draft plan resets. Then the
20-year-olds, born in 2007, will be up, and then the 21-year-olds born in 2006,
et. Al.

So a draft timeline would be, invade Iran in
March 2026, if Russia or China enters the war, or the Axis of Evil declares war
against NATO or the Coalition of the Willing, then there would be a two to
three week conventional war, April, with troops, tanks, planes, ships, cruise
missiles, drones, etc., until one side or the other gets exhausted, runs out of
tactical ammunition, or their backs are up against the wall, such as Russia or
China, losing too many planes and ships in battle and starting to raise the
nuclear vitriolic rhetoric way up to a daily basis. May, then one side or
another would do a nuclear first strike against one to three countries, or if
they’re the Axis, nuke 40 countries involved in the Coalition. Since there are nine countries with nuclear
weapons, and Iran on the verge, there would be six salvos of IRBMs, and ICBMs
flying back and forth across the sky.
Let’s say that a formal war was called in
mid-April, and a draft soon after that, say a week, the 193-day clock starts
then, unless, acted upon by Congress and the President, to make it immediate,
to do the above rules. Six months of
waiting, a month for lottery, a month for MEPS, basic training is 8-12 weeks,
advanced training is 6-20+ weeks, we’re talking about several months before you
get to your first duty station or sent overseas somewhere to fight or support. That is if we all, 49 countries aren’t nuked
to smithereens.
The 10,000 Nuclear targets, global and US
are quite extensive. If you read Anne
Jacobsen’s book, well, we’re all dead or something. As far as I’m concerned, well a nuclear war
may not be winnable, but it can be SURVIVABLE.
See ANNEXES PP, QQ, XX, LLL in 99% Edition on Blogspot. Farmers and ranchers use MM and GGG. Anne is technically correct in her book, but
I think that we can SURVIVE and THRIVE through this event. Plus, she warns of nuclear winter due to all
the soot that is from burning buildings, trees, etc. and that would dampen the
sunlight significantly. I think that it
is more of a nuclear FALL, whereby the temperatures only go down 10-20 degrees,
instead of 30-40 and there is famine.
She’s done her homework, but I know nuclear weapons and strategy and the
malfunctions. Do your diligence and read
all necessary Annexes and share with others the Blogspot link.
What are the target sets? They are about the same no matter which
country that get targeted. First, military
bases, forts, runways, missile silos, bunkers, communications, defense
factories, even guard and reserve hubs, the bigger ones, that have a 500-2000
people in them, supply centers, or anything related to satellite or nuclear
weapons. Second, top population centers,
above 500,000 or 1 million people, plus national, state, and provincial
capitals. Third, any large runway or
airport hub, any large railroad hub, any large or medium port. Fourth, large industrial or commercial
centers. Fifth, downtowns or even major
suburbs. Remember that China has 40 one
megaton (mt) warheads for city busters, and 35 are slated for the US.
The breakdown of nuclear targets by
country. The US: It has over 600-700+ nuclear targets from
Russia, China, and North Korea. Four
hundred fifty of them are the Minuteman III ICBMs in WY, CO, NE, MT, and ND. Plus add 100 military related targets next to
cities whereby the bases and the cities close by. Then the national capital and the state and territorial
capitals. Then the top 100 most populus
cities in the US over 500,000 that haven’t already been targeted. Canada has 20 nuclear targets: Ten military targets, and 10 top cities. Mexico, due to the number of Americans and
oil production has four targets. A few
various cities in South America also might get hit by Russia if they think that
the city is too western influenced.
The UK has over 50 nuclear targets: About 10
are US bases or related, 20 are UK bases, and 20 are top cities with industrial
base. The EU, basically NATO remainder
countries, have over 100 nuclear targets with 40 being the top European cities
and 60 military bases or related sites.
Israel has around 10-15 nuclear targets, which basically takes it off
the map, but they have over 80 Jericho ICBMs ready to do business. Middle East cities and bases might have over
a dozen targets, depending on who is launching.
Africa has around five cities that might be struck. India and Pakistan are another feud and would
strike each other as well as other countries.
Both countries have around 180 nuclear bombs with 80 warheads each. Southeast Asia would wind up with five or six
strikes depending on who fired. Australia
has around 15 targets, 2 being US, with 8 military and 6 top cities struck by
Russia, China and North Korea.
Russia would be hit by the US, UK, France,
and Israel and would take over 1000 hits with over top 100 cities and the rest
being military and industrial. China
would be about the same but 60 cities.

LAST TAKE (10th-15th): 9th-11th:
Various events taking place around the world and especially in the Middle East
and Iran. Iran keeps on attacking Israel,
Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Turkey (NATO) with ballistic
conventional missiles and attack drones.
The US Embassy in Riyah, Saudi Arabia was hit by a couple of missiles
and is very damaged. The US dropped a
MOAB (Mother of All Bombs) on Qom, Iran, their religious headquarters, where a
missile warehouse was. MOAB’s mushroom
clouds look like a mini-nuke. This was the second time a MOAB was dropped, the
other was in Tara Bala, Afghanistan in the 2000s. There have been cyber alerts and attacks
against Israel, the US, NATO, and GCS by Iran.
The NSA intercepted an Iranian message to activate western terrorist
sleeper cells. Be vigilant. See something, say something. Iran has sent secret ships, loaded with
attack drones and ballistic missiles that set sail to the Atlantic and the
Pacific and they can strike the Homeland or more of Europe. The NSA, GOES, SPACECOM, and CYBERCOM are
searching the oceans for any particular ships that might be launchers. The Iranians have dabbled with having
missiles launch out of box containers on ships.
Senator Chris Murphy, D-CT, posted on X,
that in a classified closed intelligence briefing, that what he could disclose,
is that there was no master plan to attack Iran, regime change was not
discussed, we’re playing whack-a-mole here, that the Iranians whole heartly do
not want to negotiate or surrender, that we should take the Iranians at their
word, and that Israel, the US, some NATO countries, and some GCS states are
going to continue to bombard various Iranian targets. I know Chris quite well, so I’ll take him at
his word. I have tweeted to Trump,
Hegseth, CENTCOM, and others, various ideas on how to end this war faster. It does not involve nukes. But to no avail.
I’m hearing more about US ground forces
invading Iran soon. Supposedly its for attacking
the several nuclear production sites in Iran and seizing the uranium that they
have produced at 60% level. Iran has
enough uranium, if they can enrich it to 90% plutonium, to make five to seven
250 kt bombs. Whether or not they can
miniaturize them to fit on their larger missile platforms is unknown by our
team. Like I said above, special
operators, Teirs one and two, are in many countries doing training missions or
rescue operations, so, it will have to be a balance to see which units are
available for which missions. Delta, 160th,
SF, Rangers, SEALs, they all have various mission sets and will probably be
involved in something that is intricate and complex of multiple missions. However, I think that they will be doing
other missions as well. If they need to secure
a larger area, then they will have to borrow some Airborne battalions.
The allies have been bombing Iran
relentlessly. They have air
superiority. But they can’t find all the
TELs, transportable elevated launchers, of which Iran has gobs of, and there
are tunnels cut into various mountains where they store these gobs of ballistic
missiles, attack drones, and attack speed boats.
Certain items are definitely going up in
price due to the Hormuz closure. Diesel
now averages $4.70 a gallon, fertilizer components are going up 10-70%, even
plastic containers are going up 10-20%.
Expect US gasoline to be $4.50 a gallon by the 20th. Gas Buddy says that many states, that it has
risen 40-80 cents per gallon over the last week. Find ways to conserve fuel. I remember the 1973 Arab Oil Embargo, the
long lines that it created, how the prices went from 29 cents a gallon to 49
cents a gallon, a huge increase for back then, but they stabilized back to
about 39 cents a gallon and that was for full service also. The 1973 Arab Oil Embargo only lasted six
weeks

but the ramifications lasted for the rest of
the decade. My first job in 1974, was a
service station attendant for a Chevron station in Cheyenne fueling vehicles,
washing windows, checking fluids, checking tires, cleaning the bathrooms and
station. I finally got to learn oil
changes and simple mechanics. Of course,
cars were much simpler back then.
The Iranian navy is now laying mines inside
the Strait of Hormuz. The US Navy only
has a couple of ships that can detect and destroy mines that are laid. We are trying to do so. The US Navy got three mothballed mine
sweepers out of the fleet reserve, there are three navy bases that have fleet reserves,
and these ships are so derelict, so out of date, that it was decided to scrap
them. All the ships in the fleet
reserve, about 300, are supposed to be maintained to a floating and deployable
standard within a month and be crewed by then.
As of the 11th, there are now
nine US KIAs in the Middle East theatre with over 140 wounded. They all get purple heart medals. Thirty-five of the wounded are severe and
were evacuated to Ramstein, Germany or to Walter Reed Army Hospital. Most of these KIAs and WIAs were because of
missiles or drones and the concussive explosions thereof. Many of the troops have TBIs, their bell got
rung. Plus those six aviators, the
pilots and WIZZO, got to join the Martin-Baker fan club, extended to aviators
who eject from their planes. These three
F-15 Strike Eagles, costing $20 million apiece, were shot down by our own
forces over Kuwait. The fog of war. Well at least anti-air works, the chaff works
for a while, the pilots training worked for a while to evade the missiles, the
Martin-Baker ejection seats worked, so, rack it up to another lesson learnt. Expensive lesson, but a lesson. These aviators will not be flying for a while
because the Gs pulled when they eject is severe and wrecks the back and other
systems. Major Advil and PT. They will be on medical duty for a couple of
months and then given training duty or planning duty.
There are many new weapons systems being
combat tested in the Iran War. The
Mark-48 Torpedo was used the first time in combat and sunk an Iranian destroyer
off Sri Lanka last week. Another Iranian
corvette and fishing boat heard that and claimed amnesty in Sri Lanka,
basically surrendering. The US Army has
a new Precision Guided Missile that is very accurate and a decent warhead with
long milage. They have fired scores of
these new missiles against Iranian targets, such as missile factories,
communication centers, ammunition warehouses, etc. The US Army and Air Force have a few new sets
of attack drones. One is configured and
looks like the Iranian Shaeed-136, the triangle one, and is inexpensive as well
as the other two models that are smaller.
They swarm, using scores of attack drones against several targets
overwhelming the air-defense capabilities of the Iranians and hitting their
targets en masse.
12th and 13th (Happy
12th, Pumpkin): The Iranian women’s football (soccer) team was
playing in Australia and they declared amnesty there, but I think that the Australians
are giving them back, and 47 doesn’t even like that. Probably a death blow. Three tankers, one LNG, and one shipping
container ship were attacked and on fire in the Persian Gulf. Crews evacuated. The French, with the DeGaulle, want to punch
through the Strait of Hormuz with eight destroyers and sink what is left of the
Iranian Navy. There are plans to capture
the Iranian Karg island in the not quite so middle of the bottom of the Strait,
this is where many oil terminals and fuel storage tanks are at and would shut
down 60% of Iran’s crude oil exports.
Hello China, I wonder how they are doing these days, running out of
crude yet? The cities, military bases,
and related items in the cities of Tehran, Qom, Shiraz, Isfahan, and a few
others have been bombed relentlessly by Israel and the US.
Israel was struck a couple of times, by the
new Khorrzmashahr-4 IRBM with 80-100 submunitions in it. They play havoc with the radar systems and
the Iron Dome and company. Israel is
getting damaged badly, first in June on the first go around, and then this
time. Now the Israelis know how the
Gazans or Lebanese feel about being bombed.
You don’t have to get all huffy about who’s doing to whom for how many
cookies. I’m a historian, and I’ve
studied the Israeli/Palestine/Arab situation going back centuries. UAE has stated that 165 missiles and drones
have attacked them causing significant damage to various buildings and military
sites. On the 8th and 9th
the Iranian Supreme Council elected Mojyaba Kahemini as the new Ayatollah. There were two Ayatollahs before him, but we
bombed and killed them with a whole bunch of ministers and generals that week. That is the old man’s son. Just as stodgy and conservative also.
What CENTCOM is having a problem with the
Iranian missiles and drones is that the buggers are really good at hiding two
to three thousand of the missiles and they probably have over 7,000 attack
drones, especially the -136. While the
world was playing with the IAEA, the UN with the JCPOA (P5+1) to do nuclear
inspections and more in Iran, and Trump pulled us out of, well, all those
various years the Iranians were building massive tunnels in their many mountain
ranges, sand silos in the desert sands, and other hidden secrets. They have camouflaged train tracks out of the
tunnels, or they just drive the TELs out of them a while and launch a missile. This is why CENTCOM can’t find any serious
grouping of TELs anywhere, that haven’t already blown up. In the last decade, the Iranian Government
spent 40% of their budget and GNP on military and supporting terrorism in
several countries.
People ask, do we go back to the days of the
Shah? Well, the Shah’s son, Reza Pahlavi
(1960), my age, educated at USC and Cairo University, family man, wants the
regime overthrown. A lot of Iranians
want him in to succeed the regime, but he even calls for a temporary status and
free elections. There are many ethnic
groups in Iran, Persians, Kurds, Azerbaijanis, Turks, etc. There has always been a harsh and swift hand
dealt to the various ethnicities. When
the British, French, and the US found oil in the middle east in the late 1800s,
they were colonial powers, and they drew up treaties on a map. None of these map lines corresponded to
ethnic boundaries and they didn’t care.
They were the betters.
The Shah was put into power in the 1930s and
the US and the CIA kind of took over. He
loved his Persians, gave them some freedoms, made them western, there were
discos in Tehran in the 1970s, and mini-skirts in the 1960s and 1970s until
that fateful day November 4,

1979, when the Iranian revolution took over.
But the Shah carried a big, big stick,
it was called the SAVAK, the secret state police of the Shah’s, and if you were
dissident or out of line, then you paid.
There were plenty of big jails to put one in. There are many Shah Iranians in LA area, and
a lot of SAVAK there too. If you watch
the 1985, Jeff Goldblum movie, “Into the Night”, where he plays an insomniac
whose wife is having an affair, and he winds up helping this other woman who is
a smuggler. Anyway, the LA Iranians are
involved and the SAVAK too, on personal retainer to a heiress. Check it out.
Pistachio time.
The Ayatollah Khamenei, not yet the
Ayatollah, was living in France in exile in the 1970s. He was a very devout Shia cleric and hated
the western exposure that his fellow Iranians were getting from the Shah. He was able to convert thousands of students
in France, Iran, and elsewhere to dissent, and finally overthrow the Shah’s government
on November 4, 1979. The Shah was weak
from cancer and even did treatment in the states. Of course, the US Embassy was taken over, I
remember that day, I was on my first Army tour then, and they pulled a TV in to
watch ABC. There were over a hundred US
hostages, diplomats, clerks, Marine guards, others, many were given special dispensation
by the regime, such as pregnant women, women in general, blacks-to appeal to
the masses, and others. Six escaped to
the Canadian Embassy and hid out there for a while, until a CIA exfil operative
could get them out on the pretense of filming a fake space movie. See the movie “ARGO”, with John Goodman. ARGO %^&%$ IT. During the Shah’s time there was the Tehran
American Club, basically a disco in the 70s, where the Iranians and the
westerns would hob-nob with each other.
The club had fancy embroidered navy blue silk jackets and I’ve seen
several of these over the years. The
club got bombed just before the revolution.
Eventually it became 52 hostages, mostly men
and Marine guards, some women that had to endure the whole time, 444 days. I write about them in some of my books. On April 24, 1980, Operation Eagle Claw transpired
and failed. It had COL Charlie
Beckworth’s Delta Force, basically a fresh unit, but well trained, the 1/75th
Ranger Battalion out of HAAF, Savannah, and various Air Force crews. Beckwith was at site Desert One refueling the
helicopters for insert into the Embassy to rescue the hostages, when a haboob,
dust storm, arrived. Consequently, a
Pave Low helicopter and a C-130 collided and caught on fire. Not enough spares. That scrubbed the mission. The Rangers were going to parachute and
invade the Tehran Airport and seize it until Delta could get there with stolen
buses. Five died that day, and we
finally got the remains through the Swiss Embassy a week later. I was on the 24th Division’s,
Forward Support Team, causality, humping a 60, waiting to go to Italy or Turkey
if the mission was a go to take care of causality statistics. I do not hate the Iranians, I had many
Iranian friends in the 70s. I just hate
the regime. President Carter could not
get them out no matter how much pleading he did. On January 20, 1981, when President Ronald
Reagan was inaugurated, the hostages were released as a good will gesture. They knew that Ronnie would bomb them to
smithereens.
A KC-135 refueling tanker was refueling
another tanker over Kuwait and the two of them crashed into each other, one
made it back to base the other one crashed in the desert killing six air
crew. The KIA count is now 17. The Iranians found some KC-135s parked at a
base and fired a bunch of missiles at them destroying five, so were seven
tankers down. Luckily, we have over
300. Iran has been relentlessly throwing
missiles and drones at Dubai, destroying buildings and even the expats who live
there are fleeing back to their home countries.
At least two total missiles from Iran have hit NATO-Turkey but were
intercepted. The Germans are sending
troops and equipment to Crete to help the British there and sending a couple of
navy ships. At least seven tanker, LNG,
or shipping container ships are on fire or sinking in the Persian Gulf.
The US Debt has gone up another trillion
dollars in the last few months and is close to $39 trillion and this war will
add another trillion plus the yearly deficit will add another trillion. The whole US spending budget including SS,
Medicare, Medicaid, etc. is over $7 trillion and we take in from all sources
just over $5.7 trillion. Granted they
are different funding mechanisms. But discretionary
spending is $3.7 trillion with $2.6 in income.
You do the math.
There have been several terrorist, or being
called that, attacks on US soil. The Old
Dominion University NW of Detroit ROTC where the assailant asked if this is the
ROTC program and started shooting, only the senior ROTC instructor was killed
LTC Shah, an Old Dominion alumnus. The
other ROTC students proceeded to make the assailant un-alive. Someone drove a van into a Jewish Synagogue/school.
Some B-2s completely obliterated Kargh
Island where the oil terminals are. Fire
city. Supposedly the new Ayatollah, the
son, has been wounded and disfigured and has a bounty on him. The Taliban and Pakistan are in open war and
trading drone and missile and jet strikes on each other. So Iran has to watch its eastern front now too. China is pleading for Iran to open the Strait
of Hormuz so that they can get their oil and LNG. The USMC is sending a 2500-man MEF to the
Arabian Sea to punch Iran in the nose.
Go paint some stripes boys. Iran
has been laying mines, and the US Navy can’t get rid of them fast enough.
14th-15th: DPRK test fires more missiles into the Yellow
and East Seas while the US and ROK hold military drills. Ukraine is hitting Moscow heavy with attack
drones evading their air-defenses causing much military and infrastructure
damage. They are even flying around to
the rear of Moscow, surprising the Kremlin.
DOD announced another 5,000 Marines, 2 MEUs, to go to the Persian Gulf
AO. No matter what you might hear in the news or
social media, I’m assuming that the Marines and other Teir One and Two
operators are going to land in Iran soon.
They will take over Kargh Island, clear the Strait of Hormuz from the
Iranian Navy and the mines so that shipping can flow again, Tehran, Qom,
Shiraz, and Isfahan as well as other areas will probably be invaded in the next
two weeks to find the tunnel entrances for uranium as well as missiles, drones
and boats. Over 30,000 troops will be
used in various areas to tighten down the screws. These guys are one shot one kill, but they do
use three to make sure. California is
going on drone watch, the FBI has given a terror watch for it and most of the
US for lone wolves, sleeper cells, drones, and even potentially missiles from
ships.
TIDBIT: Everyone knows that there are 24
hours in a day, well 23 hours and 58 minutes or something scientific. Anyway, did you know that there are 30 time
zones? Several are one half hour off,
such as Iran and India or even quarter hour off such as New Zealand.
