THE AUTHOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DEATH, INJURY OR ANY OTHER MATTER BECAUSE OF WAR, NUCLEAR WAR OR THE EFFECTS THERE OF!

Please read the other Nuclear pages on this website.

With all situations, think outside of the box and try to take care of yourself, your family or group for as long as possible. If you can get to a two or three month level or more of supplies, then that is great. That gives the country and government time to reallocate resources to all the needed places.

YOUR CLAN, GROUP, NEIGHBORHOOD, SMALL CITY, TOWNSHIP’S POST FALLOUT Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) past Day 14 from a nuclear attack.

This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is for the next several days and few weeks past Day 14 after a Nuclear Attack. The ALL CLEAR is about to be given so that we can come out of our shelters. There are several items that have to be done before you come out of your shelter and get ready to do the items. For shelter information go to my blogspot.

This SOP affects the Sioux Falls Metro (Russian Target) and the McCook (Bug-in) locations. Adopt your locations to this SOP.

Before Day 14, your family/group/clan should do a complete inventory on water, drinks, food, medical, and supplies. Also do a mental health and health inventory on members to see on how they are doing. It is a new world out there and the stores are not open.

VEHICLES; Depending on where you live, Ground Zero, close to Ground Zero, or miles from it, is depending wether or not you have a vehicle or not. The nuclear blast causes an EMP for 10-25 miles and fries most electrical components. If you live 30 miles away, you might have a working vehicle. But there might be no working gas stations–no power. Hopefully you parked your gas opening close to a building or something and hopefully have extra secured gas cans.

SECURITY; ON DAY 14/15 and beyond: You should do security sweeps on your home, block and neighborhood. Get with neighbors and form a group or a clan and work together to mitigate various problems. Guard your inventory.

Remember to check out my blogspot for the nuclear pages, book teasers and other information at www.fdnintelreps.blogspot.com before the attack happens.

WATER: There are two kinds of water that we need to worry about. Potable (drinkable) water and non-potable. Non-potable can be in varying degrees, from untreated to brown to grey to sewage. Read my blogspot for more information. Another thing to consider on Day 15, is there any water pressure? If there is, I would not drink it, unless it is confirmed by your city or water department. I would boil it and put 16 drops of bleach in each gallon (per FEMA). If you’re using water for flushing toilets, then you do not need to treat it. Keep potable water at one gallon per person per day. Have 15 or more gallons per person per day of non-potable water for flushing, washing, etc. Have a boiling water team that takes care of this.

POWER: If the electricity comes back on or the natural gas does, then that will make life a little easier. But 10-1, there will be NO POWER, except for some random generators, and that is as long as there is gas. Remember to ration your flashlight and radio batteries. See my blogspot-nuclear.

FIREWOOD: We’re going to need tons of firewood. This is for boiling water, cooking and heating. Those people with chainsaws, axes, mauls, hatchets, silky saws, etc., they will be needed quite a bit. Don’t forget gasoline, oil, bar oil, extra chains, rasps, and files. There will have to be different stations of the firewood point. Uncut, partially cut, cut, split, water boiling point, cooking point, and heating point. Have plenty of matches (1000s) or dozens of lighters. Have a plan to procure lots of dead fall or other firewood sources.

POTABLE WATER: Remember to have a gallon of potable water per person per day. You will probably have to filter (you can filter with a cloth t-shirt), boil the water to make it potable and add 16 drops of chlorine, bleach per gallon of water. Make sure to have eye droppers for that purpose. You will need to set up a boiling station with a fire pit, wood stove, or other ways, with plenty of firewood, large clean pots, oven mitts, tongs, matches and recycled plastic bottles and jugs.

The boiling point needs to have various fires going wether they are barbeques, stoves, fire pits or whatever. Depending on how many people that you are taking care of, is depending on how many large (16-32– quart) pots that you are using. You need to have one pot boiling, one pot cooling, and one pot to sanitize (hot) bottles and jugs for refill with cool potable water. You will need pot holders, oven mitts, tongs bottle clamps, eye droppers, several gallons of bleach, 3-4 big pots and lots of firewood. You will also need a metal ash can to put the hot ashes in so that they can cool down. See there is a lot to do and a lot to plan for off grid life.

See my blogspot-nuclear for more on water. Even if you have water pressure, I would not drink it until I have filtered it, boiled it, and treated it with bleach. If there is no water pressure, then you are going to have to find another water source, a river, pond, lake, stream, etc., and then filter, boil and treat with bleach. Use your 5 gallon buckets for this. You might want to combine forces with your neighbors. Save clean single use plastic water bottles and jugs. Juice and tea jugs work too. Sanitize with 3 ounces of hot water, shake, bleach water, shake, and refill with ladel or funnel. Wash you hands before doing this operation.

Bleach the filter cloth as needed.

FOOD STOCKS: At Day 14, you should defiantly take inventory of your food stocks and supplies. Remember that there a probably no stores open, or if there are, there won’t be much on the shelves and it will be inflated cash only. If you read the nuclear pages, then you should have 3-5 weeks or more of food. www.fdnintelreps.blogspot.com You need to make your food supplies last as long as possible, because you don’t know when help is coming. You don’t know if FEMA, state, Red Cross, churches, schools or anyone else for that matter will be able to set up kitchen and feeding points. So if you can go 2-3 months worth of food, then that would be best.

WALKERS AND EVACUEES: If you live in a small rural town like we do, not too far away from a decent size city, then you will get walkers. They are coming from bigger cities that are nuclear targets. The EMP from the nuclear explosion fried all the electronics for about 15 miles, hence the walkers. Depending on the situation, walkers could walk 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 miles away from their homes to find a new place to live.

There is a good chance that a lot of these walkers have radiation poisoning. The weak ones won’t make it very far. But the healthier ones might make it 15-20 miles and be in rough shape, hungry and thirsty. Cities, neighbors, and farmers, should do their best to try to give them water, a little food and tend to their wounds as much as possible.

Healthy walkers can be an asset to a group, clan or a city. They can be workers for the various work stations and teams that will need to be filled due to deaths in the city. Not everybody survived even in small towns. You might have to take care of them but then you can work them also. There should be a walker log, with name, age, sex, last city, career, work assigned, to where. This should be copied and given to the city.

TRIAGE: Someone with medical experience should try to set up a Triage Point. Wether its simple scrapes and cuts, or simple pain, or bigger injures, or radiation poisoning, the triage point would assess the injured. Have capable medical supplies from various givers to help set up the triage point. Someone should have a triage medical kit and a surgery kit.

Try to have 3-4 people staff the triage point. Have one person to do simple assessments, such as Bandaids, slings, etc. Staff should always wash or sanitize their hands before tending to patients. There should be a log kept with name, sex, age, hometown, assessment, diagnosis and discharge. They will probably get lots of walkers from other cities.

The supplies that you will need are soap and water, hand sanitizer, gloves, a tent or building, tables and chairs, bandages, gauze and tape and lots of it, antibiotic ointment, tourniquets, slings, ace bandages, Tylenol, vitamins, wound compaction, chux pads, scissors, rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, plus anything for wound care or burn care. Think about as many items try to get as many items before the attack or request them from neighbors after the attack.

SEARCH AND RESCUE: No matter where you are living, a search and rescue team needs to be set up around Day 20. The City/County should manage this aspect but in the beginning the setups may not be in place. They need to go from building-to-building to see if anyone is living there, how many are alive or are found dead there and mark the outside wall appropriately.

There is a certain way to mark a building with a Search and Rescue SAR marking. It is called the X model. The X has four components. The date and time are on top. The organization or unit doing the search is on the left side of the X. Any specifics, such as water (pressure) and power, etc. are on the right side of the X. On the bottom part of the X, mark the number of alive, dead and injured. If you go thru in a week or two to reassess, mark out the old X and do a new X. You will need lots of spray paint. W-Water, P-Power, A-Alive, D-Dead, I-Injured

Doing the X. When you first enter a building, knock first loudly, announce “Search and Rescue” and your organization or unit and mark the first line from the top left to bottom right and date and time it. This means that someone is doing an active search. If no one responds, then entry must be done by force. This is WW3. Search each floor for dead bodies and injured people. Get the injured people out to triage. Have a Transport team for that purpose. Have a Burial team to take care of any dead bodies found to ID them and bury them. Make sure to have a SAR Misssion Log on each building/home, date and time, alive, dead and injured and address that you found in each. Remember that you are SAR not thieves. So you could have D-2 A-4 I-2, or 2 of the 4 alive are injured. It should only take 15 minutes per building/home.

FEEDING POINT/KITCHEN: If established kitchens are not setup in fire halls, churches or schools by Day 20, then the clans should set up temporary feeding points and kitchens, for locals as well as walkers. Set up 2 meals a day at 1000 and 1700 hours at 700 calories a meal out of whatever foods that can be found and cook them by whatever means necessary. See my blogspot for various information and rules on field kitchens in Nuclear 4 & 5.

www.fdnintelreps.blogspot.com

CLANS: Clans or neighborhood groups are going to be necessary in the post fallout world. Name them after colors. People will have to bond together for social, food, water, supplies, security, energy, manpower, etc. Figure out which families or individuals go into which clan. Pick a leader and a sub-leader for each clan. There will be different teams that will have to be manned: water procurement and safety, firewood, food, safety, triage, Search and Rescue, injured transport, dead body recovery and burial, communications, and transportation. Each team will have a team leader and a sub-leader. The sub-leader will also act as a trainer to get the team trained to par. Each kind of team will have as many people to get the job done. Usually 5-6 people per team after the leaders. So have 50-60 adults inside a clan to get the work done properly.

JULY 28, 2024, LATEST INTELLIGENCE UPDATE: The Ukraine/Russia scenario has stabilized on different battles, but Ukraine has been attacking Russia more fiercely with more modern weapons which is causing Russia some problems. I get a few nuclear alerts on my phone a week from Russia, on them wanting to nuke Ukraine, NATO, UK or the US.

Russia vs. NATO: In some ways, WW3 has already started. Russia continues cyber, hyper and behind the lines attacks in European countries, trying to slow support for Ukraine.

Middle East: Israel has a 5 front war going on. Gaza Strip (Hamas), Lebanon (Hezbollah), West Bank (Hamas), Golan Heights (Hezbollah), Iran its self, Iran runs some of these terrorist groups. Yemen (Houthis).

China wants to invade Taiwan and mess with the Philippine Islands.

North Korea, wants to use its nukes against the US and its allies.

The Axis of Evil are Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, some African nations, Hamas, Hezbollah.

We can expect some kind war or even nuclear war within two months, any two months. Read the blogspot.

Thank you very much.

Please read the other Nuclear pages on this website.

With all situations, think outside of the box and try to take care of yourself, your family or group for as long as possible. If you can get to a two or three month level or more of supplies, then that is great. That gives the country and government time to reallocate resources to all the needed places.

INTRODUCTION– SUPPLEMENTAL: This is our (Debbie’s and Red’s) house/home, so it’s our rules. This is our fallout shelter also, so pay attention to the rules listed on the next few pages. READ THEM PLEASE!! Obey them and we’ll get along. Don’t even try to argue. You can opine, comment or question but not argue. Read my blogspot below, the first six pages or so. www.fdnintelreps.blogspot.com

It’s going to be rough with 4-14 people in a dark, damp, smelly, crowded basement, fallout shelter for 14 days until the Gamma radiation levels go down to a safe level. Debbie makes the decisions on who gets into the shelter. So play nice.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING FOR MORE THAN TWO WEEKS YOUR OWN water, drinks, food, medicine, flashlights, batteries, mattress?, blankets, pillows, 3-5 changes of under and outer wear, hygienes, feminine products, speciality products. Remember pack light, because we don’t have that much room. Shower before you come over. Get here BEFORE the explosions. We will let you know.

Sioux Falls Airport is a Russian Nuclear Target with a 4-7 mile radius for the fireball. EROS Data Center, northeast of Sioux Falls is another target. Rapid City and EAFB are two more. The fallout will most likely travel east.

This is a NECESSITY! Please READ MY BLOGSPOT!! Especially the first six pages, and then peruse the other 70 pages for information. But you are responsible for the first six nuclear pages. www.fdnintelreps.blogspot.com

INTELLIGENCE SCENARIO: As of June 8, 2024, this is the latest information regarding World War Three, Ukraine, Russia, NATO (32 countries). This information is being gathered by many sources and confidential intelligence reports. If you want to search Newsweek magazine, Tag: Ukraine war, F-16, Russia Attack, Russia nuclear missiles. You can also view on YouTube Canadian Prepper, City Prepping and Deutche Welle English (news).

On or about, June 7, 2024, Ukraine is supposed to receive many F-16 fighter jets from the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark. These jets are capable of carrying nuclear missiles, but they will not have them in Ukraine. For Russia it does not matter, for them it is another red line crossed. Since Russia determines tat the F-16s are a nuclear platform then, President Putin threatens/promises to use tactical nuclear weapons on Ukraine and the NATO countries that provided them. NATO is also allowing Ukraine to use NATO advanced weapons systems against Russian targets inside Russia. Another red line crossed.

The nuclear explosions and resulting fallout would envoke NATO Article Five causing World War Three and more nuclear attacks back and forth. I would suggest that you search on nuclear explosions, how fallout (Gamma) works, and what NATO is. YouTube and Wikipedia.

So I want you to listen to the news three times a day on the radio. Use your car. Go to AM 570, 1320 or FM 107.9 or 91.7 for Sioux Falls, Area. Do this at the top of the hour, on the dot to listen to the 5 minute news reports. This is to see if any news from Europe is making the news.

I will let you know when to evacuate to the fallout shelter. For right now back a bag with your 3-5 sets of clothes that you will take. Remember that you will have to bring over extra supplies as stated below. Think ahead. Plan ahead. Read the blogspot.

NUCLEAR FALLOUT SHELTER-SUPPLEMENTAL SOP

MY BLOGSPOT: www.fdnintelreps.blogspot.com

MATTRESSES: There are 3 single mattresses at Robert’s apartment as well as our baby mattress there. When a World War Three (WW3) bug-in is called at the fallout shelter, then we will need all 4 mattresses downstairs. I built 2 bed forms that the mattresses can lay on that are made of 2x4s and OSB. These will be put in the southwest corner. Jennie will have to bring over one of her single mattress from her place. If anyone else shows up they will have to bring a single mattress. Limit 2. If they don’t, then there will be 2 sleeping schedules to accommodate more then 7-8 people. Make sure that you have your own pillows and covers. It will be cold down there. Bring a backpack with clothes as listed in my blogspot.

CHAIRS: We have at least 8 chairs between 530 and 300. They will be taken downstairs. You can’t be in bed all the time. If there are over 8 people, then rotate between chairs and beds.

FOOD AND CALORIES-DAILY: The daily ration will be about 1200 calories. It will be one canned entre at 11 am, one canned entre at 5 pm, during the day or at meals, there will be a veggie can, a fruit can, a can of soup, 1 piece of bread or 6 crackers and half of a potato-raw. A can or 2 of beans is to be shared by all. Remember that the stores are now closed and might be for a while. If you are bringing in food from Sioux Falls, then make sure to bring plenty. It’s a nuclear target.

Make sure to wash plastic ware. Debbie manages this.

WATER AND DRINKS: We will have at least 10 cases of water, 4 plus cases of Gatorade, 5 plus cases of Mt. Dew (Deb), and 2 cases of Diet Pepsi (Red). We might have some condensed milk also. Other people coming need to bring their own water and drinks for 2 weeks or more. Remember closed stores. Drinks will have to be rationed to 6-9 drinks per day. See if it works. Warm pop. Mark your bottles and cases. No waste.

GARBAGE AND RECYCLING: There will be a 13 gallon garbage can and a 13 gallon recycling can for bottles and cans.

Food cans are to be thrown away. We don’t have the water to rinse them. When full, Red or someone will throw it out the back door in to the yard.

POTASSIUM IODIDE (KI): I should have enough pills or liquid for 6-8 people for the 3 days until the radiation goes down 60-70 percent.

NUCLEAR TOILET: The nuclear toilet is in the fallout shelter under the stairs. It is a green Menard’s bucket with a toilet seat on top, with plastic bags in it. When the plastic bag gets halfway full or gets too stinky, then the bucket will be taken to the back door and the bag will be thrown out back. A new bag will be ready to use. Wash your hands. IMPERATIVE!! FOR THE FIRST THREE DAYS, EVERYONE WILL USE THE NUCLEAR TOILET, due to the radiation levels. After day 3, then you can use the upstairs toilet in 5 minute intervals.

BATHROOM–RESPITE: After day 3, people can go to the upstairs bathroom for 5 minutes at a time to do their thing or wash up. The water will be shut off for 14 days until the radiation levels have dropped off. Make sure to take a gallon of water with you if you are doing a BM. Do not flush all the time, unless there is a lot of toilet paper in the bowl or someone did a BM. Fill the tank with one gallon of non-potable water and flush. Remember only five minutes at a time due to the radiation. On another trip you can do a paper towel wash per blogspot, and then change your clothes, on another trip you can brush your teeth and comb your hair. On day15 the house water main will be turned back on to see if there is any water pressure. If not hopefully the truck will start and we can take buckets to the river to get water.

AIRING OUT CLOTHES: EVERYDAY you should exchange your under and outer clothes. There are nails to hang the clothes on by the big T beam. You can spray with a little air spray in the underarms and crotch. Let them air out for the next day. For the first three days change your clothes in the nuclear toilet. There are a few nails to use to hang your clothes to change. On day 4 and after you can use the upstairs bathroom to change for 5 minutes and come back down. You should bring a backback or a bag with 3-5 changes of clothes as described in the blogspot.

FLASHLIGHTS: We have some flashlights for use downstairs. But you need to buy and bring your own flashlights with 2 sets or more of spare batteries. I’m pretty sure the power will be out after a nuclear explosion, so having plenty of flashlights and extra batteries is necessary. Flashlights should be used sparingly if the power is off, because batteries will be in short supply. Batteries might have to last weeks. Turn off all flashlights at bed time (10 pm). There will be a flashlight that will be on in the center of the basement at all times to give general lighting. The fire guard can keep their flashlight on also.

BATTERIES: The fallout shelter and Becker family have their own stock of various batteries. As stated before everyone is responsible to get enough batteries and use them wisely.

CANDLES: The fallout shelter will have various glass candles to help supplement the lighting. Since they are a fire hazard, then there must be a fire guard on watch at all times that they are lit. There will be a candle by the front furnace, on the east shelves and the north shelves. At bedtime only one candle will be lit on the north shelves. Red or Debbie are in charge of the candles.

AIR SPRAY: The two air sprays on the poles should automatically spray every half hour or so to mask the smell. There will be 2 big cans of air spray, one for the nuclear toilet and one to spray your armpits and crotches on your clothes. Please use sparingly.

GAMES AND BOARD GAMES: The fallout shelter will hopefully have some games, board games, card games, reading material, crayons and etc. for people to use during the stay. If you have one please bring it along.

CONTINUITY OF GOVERNMENT: The United States Government has dozens of survival plans to ensure the continuity of the government. Lots of states, cities, corporations, and organizations, such as hospitals, have these plans also. But the federal government practices extreme planning on a continuing basis.

One thing that will happen soon after the attack will be martial law and curfew. Well most everybody will be in fallout shelters for the two weeks. But this will continue. Expect a curfew from 8 pm local to 6 am local. After the two weeks, the U.S. Postal Service will assess with postal cards and conduct a brief census and survey to see whom might of survived, and whom might of evacuated. Various agencies of the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA will assist those in need.

Executive Orders on Nuclear War Planning as established by President John F. Kennedy. Many of these basic EO’s have been amended by other EO’s and must be researched, but you get the idea that

the federal government is taking over during and after a nuclear event/war.

Executive Order 10995–Assigning Telecommunications Management Functions: The Director of the ICC is in charge of various Telecommunications (phones, wireless, mobile, two-way, radio, etc.).

Land lines and cell phones will probably go to emergency use only once the Emergency Alert System tones go out. Cell phones might be able to text for a while, so use texting since they use less bandwidth. Radio stations will go to emergency action mode and give information only for people to survive. So make sure to know which radio stations in your area give the most information in the first place. You may not be able to use social media during or after this time or it might come in spurts. Do the posting before the event.

Executive Order 10997–Assigning Emergency Preparedness Functions to the Secretary of Interior. As far as electric power, petroleum and gas, solid fuels and minerals.

Is the power back on in your area? Or did EMP blow the power and all electronics out of service? Without power or generators, gas stations won’t be able to be open. There will be a rationing system for all materials. First responders, transportation haulers, food providers and others will have priority on fuel.

Executive Order 10998–Assigning Emergency Preparedness Functions to the Secretary of Agriculture. As far as food resources, farm equipment, fertilizer, and food resources facilities.

Next to power and transportation, food is the big enchilada. Whatever food resources survived, that is, from farm to food plant, to warehouse, to any stores eventually, this is what makes or breaks our country. There usually is one to two years of processed goods in the system, and another one year of unprocessed goods in the system. It all depends what survives the attack.

As far as farming goes, it depends on which month the attack happens, if in the winter there probably won’t be much harm to the ground. But if the farmers just planted seed, it all depends on what the amount of fallout was in their area. If it was high, medium, or low. If plants are mostly mature in the fall during attack, it would also depend on the amount of fallout. I’m not sure on what irradiation does on plants. As far as fertilizer goes, most farmers rely on nitrogen and ammonia phosphate. There are other ways to be able to fertilize crops for a year or two.

                                                                                                ,

Just remember that it will take six months to two years for most after fallout, for systems to reset to any resemblance of pre-war normal.

Executive Order 10999–Assigning Emergency Preparedness Functions to the Secretary of Commerce. As far as transportation, and the production and distribution of all materials.

This is the other big enchilada. If it’s not power or fuel, then it must be transportation. I’d hate to say it but the initial post-fallout or during fallout transportation system will be run by the Federal Government. With Gamma rays the most of the heavy radiation is in the first four days. This means that the government will probably try to start to resupply area during that time saying that risk is low. It will take the federal government, state governments, corporations, and various other agencies a few months to develop a cohesive, if not a plan, but then a reasonable substitute for supplying goods a month, or a few months after fallout. Between Commerce and Agriculture, these two Departments are going to try to see that the survivors of the nuclear war are properly fed and taken care of. But as survivalists, surviors, or preppers that we take the utmost amount of time and effort to plan and prepare for a medium term situation, such as three to six months, so that the government and country can re-function its self to an almost pre-war normal. Remember that there will be tens of millions of killed during and after the war.

Executive Order11000–Assigning Emergency Preparedness Functions to the Secretary of Labor. Manpower management, employment selections.

And now we get down to brass tacks. What’s left of civilization, around 120-150 million in the U.S., 100 million in Canada, and 200 million in Europe and the U.K. and surrounding countries, will have to pick up the bulk of the labor market in the 50 countries of North America and Europe or the Mediterranean Countries. Most governments will proscribe that all able bodied males and females, not giving birth or nursing or first year, aged 18-60, will have to provide labor services to various governments or organizations. This may even extend to teens to 15 years old if the post war populations are less than 30 percent. Even if you are mildly disabled you will be given a job opportunity. Remember the population will be cut in half.

Many duties will involve survey teams, administration teams, logistical teams, burying of the deceased, clearing debree, and just getting the country back on track or you may be given the opportunity to join the military (uniformed) services (8 branches-US).

Executive Order 11001–Assigning Emergency Preparedness Functions to the Secretary of Heath, Education and Welfare. Civilian health manpower, health resources, welfare services, and education programs.

Most health organizations will be informed of potential nuclear war. So most of them will expand their preparedness to heightened guidelines. Big cities, or other targets will be overwhelmed with various casualties. So make sure to have an advanced first aid kit with extra bandages, dressings, gauze, tape, wrap, hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, triple anti-biotic ointment and other items.

Field hospitals and field clinics will be set up in various places. There might be a possible nurses program that will be expanded prior and after the event.

As far as basic welfare goes, providing water, food, shelter, and medical care. Post nuclear education will depend on the district, but there may be no school for a while and maybe only elementary students might be in class. Educators will have to rely on books, chalk boards and white boards again.

Executive Order 11002–Assigning Emergency Preparedness Functions to the Postmaster General,

Change of address cards (all), counting families, National Emergency System.

The Postmaster for each Zip Code will make available Change of Address Cards for those who have evacuated or no longer have a home due to destruction. A partial census and registry of surviving families, missing people and known dead will be conducted and supervised by FEMA.

Executive Order 11003–Assigning Emergency Preparedness Functions to the FAA. Emergency management to the nations airports and affecting airlines.

Air transport won’t be a priority unless it’s priority cargo or government passengers in the beginning. But maybe in month two or three there might be some various passenger flights to surviving smaller cities. Ex.: Mitchell, SD to St. Cloud, MN, and then buses would have to take passengers from there to smaller towns. School busses or vans might be used to transport people around the different towns.

Executive Order11004–Assigning Emergency Preparedness Functions to the Housing and Home Finance Administration. All aspects of lodging and community facilities.

With tens of millions of people killed from nuclear explosions, fallout exposure, lack of clean water, food, lack of power-medical sustainment, then there will be the possibility of plenty of empty housing units, whether they are houses, apartments, or trailers. These units would be further out from the damage areas and have been cleared by FEMA of fallout radiation. FEMA and HUD will set up survey teams to assess a communities housing assets and unit availability. It will be determined how many people can actually live in an unit and how many are living there. Then evacuees will be processed into available spaces or units. We will probably have six to nine people in our fallout shelter.

Executive Order 11005–Assigning Emergency Preparedness Functions to the ICC. Railroad utilization, motor carrier utilization.

The Interstate Commerce Commission also covers how the railroads and the trucking and shipping companies operate. After power and fuel, transportation and logistics are going to be key in getting the country up and running as soon as possible. Many people will be employed by the ICC, the railroads and trucking companies to reroute all the various packages and shipping materials that were in transit to get the material to where it needs to or re-prioritize it to a new area. Since most computers, networks and land lines will be down, it will be very difficult to get all items to areas.

There might be enhanced passenger rail service around the country, as well as bus or van service, that would include various passenger coaches, box cars, gondolas or any other railcar to move people a short distance (30-100 miles) around different regions.

Make sure to research about other Executive Orders relating to Nuclear War.

MORE THOUGHTS FROM ME and MORE ON THRIVING AFTER FALLOUT

As I said before, a nuclear attack/war is a very large traumatic event. As the vitriolic rhetoric intensifies from what ever countries that are planning to attack us (and NATO), the amount of news should intensify and you should get your final preparations made. Many people don’t listen to the news, and possibly up to 40 percent do not. These are the people, blind sheep or sheeple, who will probably not know about a nuclear war coming unless if it’s trending on social media. Then they will probably be lost on trying to prepare. They will become the causalities in this war along with those who were at the target zones who did not take time to evacuate prior to the attack. Are some of these sheeple your family? Do what you can. You can’t save everybody. Notify when it is time, such as if you know it is a week before attack. Tell them what you can. Share this website and links.

As the rhetoric and news increases about nuclear war, figure out who you want to save in your family, group or circle. Share these pages with them and get them to make preparations and to evacuate if needed. You probably can’t save everybody, but sharing with as many as possible on social media, email, and text will help.

Question: When should I build my fallout shelter? Basically, start thinking about it now (April 2023). But, start assessing those items that you are going to need to build the fallout shelter. Can you get some lumber now? Some plywood or OSB, 2x4s, and screws. Figure out where you are going to build it and share the plans with your immediate family. You will have to get that basic two feet of mass surrounding the shelter to protect you. Answer: When the rhetoric reaches a daily level and the news is constant. It will probably take you a day or two to build it, so, think ahead.

Just remember to make your shelter as comfortable as possible, because it will be at least two weeks until the radio will clear the area of fallout. Remember to do your homework on the YouTube prepper and nuclear survival channels prior to the attack. Remember to create a survival list of about 80-100 items on the list. Remember that I watch all 13 news channels, on two continents in six countries have different views but usually they meet in the middle for. The US Big10 , that is cable news, cable business news, antenna news and PBS news; the Europeans, BBC, Sky News, France 24, Deurtche Welle (Germany), Israel Channel 12 or 7. Indian CNN18; Australian ABC; Japan NHK, Al-Jazerra (English)-Arabic views, Press TV-Persian (Iranian) views. There are many international channels to learn from during this so called peace time.

It’s five davs after fallout, and what do you want to be happy about?

You had better be happy about 20 things, times the number of things that you had in the fallout shelter. It’s just to get you started on happiness and thriving. What was good?

We need to survive and thrive past day fourteen and past day twenty and beyond. How is this accomplished?

I would call it the naked truth. If one can not think out side of the box at all, then how can they think out side the box at all as far as nuclear planning and all the various planning aspects that it entails? The expose continues on the various pages to here to understand some of what is understood in nuclear war planning.

What do hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of survivors expect of their government or council?

Hopefully some water, food, shelter and medical care. But as survivors you should be above board

and have thrice as many supplies as just the basic person would have. We’re talking about four to six weeks or more. If you really want to have serious survival modes, go for three to six months on supplies and 12 months certain items in your household.

It is just not your household/family that is affected by nuclear war/attack. It is civilization proper, it is the public, they will change. Either they will become more sharing with others or they will be become more dependent on others or they will steal from others. You would rather have someone who would share resources with you that steal them from you.

It is best now that small towns, small cities, churches, and other organizations plan ahead for a potential nuclear event. Stage it as any kind of disaster/emergency event, or if your area is ok with up to date information then use WW3.

Now it’s time to do a little introspection on the population . Thirty percent of the population are children (minors) and the rest are adults or seniors. The U.S. has a population of 335 million as of 2020.

Martial Law: Almost immediately after the announcement of nuclear war, Martial Law will be declared. This has far reaching effects, besides curfew. This means that the military might suspend civil laws, habeas corpus, and the application of the extension of Military Law (UCMJ). Defying martial law maybe subject to military tribunal (Courts Martial).

Labor Pool: There will probably be an Executive Order that all able bodied persons, aged 18-62 (65) and maybe down to age 14 or 15 will be in a labor pool doing construction work of some sort, recovery duty, census duty or any other duties that are covered by the other Executive Orders. This could mean that high schoolers could have no school or half days of school.

Housing Pool: Depending on the amount of surviving and livable housing units available after WW3, then many people or family units will be assigned new living quarters. A lot of this depends of the number of deaths in non-target zones.

COVID LESSONS: If you remember how bad COVID19, from November 2019 to 2021 (to present), how bad it was and all the problems that it entailed during that time frame. The deaths, sicknesses, supply chain malfunctions and shortages, labor malfunctions, etc., then that was just a test for us, a practice run to get ready for WW3.

We don’t know how many targets (cites or military bases) will be hit, but it could be in the hundreds with tens of million killed immediately with millions killed over a couple of months. If these people are not prepared, or in the wrong place at the wrong time then, at all, for shelter, water, food and medicine, then they will become a statistic. The survivors will have to bury them, census them, recover the cities some, and someone else will take their living unit, because they are gone.

THRIVING RE-THREE: If you have taken the last six pages of this web page and taken it to heart, then you’ve done the necessary things and items to be prepared for a WW3/nuclear event/war. You have gotten your shelter ready, survived the two weeks of fallout with essential supplies. It’s a matter of surviving and thriving beyond the first two weeks. I’m sure that you have some place to live, so it is a matter of having running water or getting available water, seeing if there is power from the grid or from a generator (plan for enough fuel), and thinking about on how to get further food and supplies as the current food and supplies start to wear down.

I hope that your family group has developed a post fallout water plan, and that you can get enough water from a source to be able to boil or sanitize it. As far as food and supplies go, start with the two to three weeks of water, food and supplies and expand it to a month or two or three or even six months for certain items.

I think that there is going to be a nuclear page seven. There are many more subjects to talk about. Intelligence, training, communications, and many others. Please follow or search the following on YouTube prepper channels while you have the time to study them. @Canadian Prepper, @City Prepper, @Magic Prepper @Goshen Prepping, @Alaska Granny, @The Mac’s, @Southern Prepper1, @Dina Kalmeta, @Amir Tsarfati , the various news channels-international too, @amazing framer @kusk bushcraft, @survival lilly.

Please read the other Nuclear pages on this blogspot.

Purchase and store what you can afford. Two weeks is the bare minimum to store for nuclear war survival. But warehouses, trucks, and stores may not be open or working right away. So try to get three to five weeks worth of food and supplies in total. If you can get more, that is even better. In our home we have a nuclear survival supplies list with over 100 items on it. It is set up with columns for the Item, one month, three months, and six months levels. Take an one months usage of any item on the list and multiply it by three and six to get the other levels. So go around your home and list

as many items as possible that you use that would not be immediately supplied due to stores being

closed or low on supplies in the initial few weeks. If you don’t have 80-100+ items on the list then you are not doing it right.

You will want to slowly build up stockage levels as you go shopping. Keep track of the news and international affairs, especially global hotspots, such as Ukraine, Taiwan, Israel, Iran, North Korea, etc. You don’t want to be shopping when there is a panic or mass panic going on. Well maybe a little when the first inklings of nuclear war appear in the headlines, then hurry up and finish your supply runs. Get the last amounts of water and canned goods, etc. But have all other supplies stocked to a level as pre-determined by your family or group. Your family or group needs to think about the possibility of a nuclear war a few months out with current intelligence alerts and start to PLAN to get the various supplies prior to the war or nuclear attack.

FOOD: If you have three to five weeks of food to start with to begin with, then you will begin to thrive after fallout. If you can get certain food items at an one to two month level, then that is even better. Concentrate on canned meats, canned pastas, canned soups and chilis, canned vegetables and fruits, dry pasta, crackers, peanut butter, potatoes, apples, and any other dry or canned food that your family can use during or after fallout. Even having basic baking products would help. Use a 1500 calorie a day per adult menu. Slowly build up stock levels each week as you go shopping. Date and rotate your goods. What comfort foods that are dry would you like to have stocked? Remember expiration dates.

MEDICAL: We touched on having your prescriptions refilled just prior to the attack. You will notice more and more vitriolic rhetoric coming from which ever country that wants to attack us. So also have, plenty of first aid items, bandages, gauze, nursing tape, vitamins, supplements, to cover a one to two month period or longer. Also start thinking of various hygiene items, everything from deodorant, toothpaste baby items, feminine, disabled and elderly products that can not be easily replaced for a couple of months or more. On our home nuclear survival items list we have a lot of these items at a six month level.

SUPPLIES: Using the three and six month survival lists for your family or group, you should think of various items that fall into this category. Various items would include, paper products, plastic products, various soaps and cleaners. So don’t forget to have plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, paper plates, paper bowls, Styrofoam cups, plastic ware, quart and gallon size plastic bags, plastic trash bags, bar soap, liquid wash soap, shampoo, dish soap, liquid laundry soap, bleach, and a couple dozen other items.

There will probably be 30 items just on the supplies portion of your families nuclear survival list. Remember that the store is closed or few items on the shelf when your local store does open. So think of all the things that you use on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. For flashlights and batteries make sure to have plenty of batteries. You don’t know when the power might come back on. Use your flashlights sparingly when needed. The big ones take D batteries and the smaller ones take AA size batteries.

COMMUNICATION AND POWER: Remember that the primary mode of communication is your battery powered or wind-up radio using mostly AM clear channel stations. Make sure to have several sets of C size and D size batteries. Know how many batteries various radios, CD players take. Use radios sparingly. Mostly to get information. However a set of batteries should last many hours if used straight, but you wouldn’t want to do that. Unless you have battery powered Short Wave, VHF, GMRS radios or walkie talkies, you probably won’t be able to listen or talk to anyone else.

The power grid will go down in various states, cities, and locations where there has been a nuclear explosion. The explosion causes an EMP, electromagnetic pulse that fries electrical components such as chips, transformers, fuses, etc. So in an area close to an explosion, the power grid will be out, most vehicles won’t work either, as you go further away from an explosion, the lesser the damage will be. But it might be weeks before various power companies can get power restored to your neighborhood.

TRANSPORTATION: Besides having the power restored, getting basic transportation restored again, wether it’s private vehicle, semi-trucks, box trucks, government vehicles, trains, and maybe some planes, is beneficial to restoring water, food and supplies to stores. How many that actually work will be unknown, but as discussed before, the further away from an explosion, the better the chance that EMP did not destroy electronics in various transportation modes.

If you live far enough away from a nuclear target, that would be 20-30 miles away, then make sure to have a full tank of fuel and have your fill valve locked or against a building so that your fuel can’t be stolen. Plus have a few spare cans of fuel. Maybe in a few weeks after fallout, there might be some bus service or passenger train service restored. You might even find new ways to take care of transportation needs. Some planes might work to smaller cities.

FIRE AND COOKING: If the power is not on, then it will be harder to cook, unless you have natural gas working, propane stove, wood stove, etc. If you have a propane grill, then maybe you should maybe buy a couple extra cylinders, if a briquets grill have a few bags of charcoal. Make sure to keeep them locked up when not in use. See generators on page two, and lock up your generator outside. If you don’t have any of the above methods, then use the below methods.

LESSON 179HOW TO START FIRES, CAMP FIRES OR FIELD KITCHEN FIRES– As a part of the primary source: shelter-is staying warm-and that is starting a fire, whether it is a small fire, a large camp fire, a field kitchen fire or a barrel fire and if you are without matches, a lighter, starter fluid or other flammable fluid. So don’t forget to pack in your advanced kits 1000 matches of various types, lighters, starter fluid, candles, 3 inch folding knife, hatchet, axe, chainsaw with extra gasoline, shovel and other goodies.

Starting a fire the easy way with matches–Starting a fire with matches or a lighter is relatively easy once a proper fire pit is built. First find a couple dozen rocks (5-8" wide/12-20cm) to create the perimeter circle. The circle should be 5-8 feet/2-3 meters wide. Then take your shovel and scrape vegetation off of ground inside the fire pit. Have fire no less than 20 feet/6m away from tents or buildings or vehicles. After that locate some kindling, small branches and twigs as well as dry grass. Then get one, two and three inch wide and larger branches. You will want to stack the branches in various widths so that the smaller ones burn first with the kindling and the grass. The bigger branches can be stacked upright in a triangle or square, when you light the kindling it should take ten minutes to get hot. Then add bigger logs as needed to stoke the fire. Make sure when you are done with a fire that you cool the ashes with the shovel and use a few gallons of non-potable water to douse the fire before you leave the site.

Starting a fire using stick and string–Items needed: Hatchet, 3" knife, 4"/18cm wide branch 8" long, 2" branch 8" long, string or a shoelace, dry grass and a ready to go fire pit. If you’re out of matches or don’t have matches this friction fire starter works well. Get and make your 8"/36cm long branches. Dig a diamond type hole 1" wide in the 4" wide branch and then sharpen to a point on the 2"/5cm branch. The point should fit into the hole nicely. Take a string or shoelace and wrap the middle of the string three or four times around the 2" branch. Put the point into the hole and take string on both ends and hold up ends and make a cris cross motion with your hands turning the point in the hole. The point being is to do this extremely fast, so that friction takes place the branches get hot and smoke starts to rise. When this happens, take dry grass to hole to light, once lit, move quickly to fire stack no more than a foot away. Use the rest of resources above. If there is no knife, then use sharp rocks, think survival.

Starting a field kitchen fire–Items needed: About 4 dozen rocks (5-8" wide), various grills to set on rocks, set up fire pit, pots and pans and see Lesson 63-How to Set Up a Field Kitchen. Take the various rocks and make squares or rectangles to fit the various griddles. Make three or four fires if needed. Set up fire pit per instructions above, light fire, set grill on top, start cooking when hot, keep stoked. Remember to keep one big pot to boil filtered water to make it potable for continuous drinking.

LESSON 180–HOW TO DO CAMP COOKING–Camp cooking is more of a temporary solution until field kitchens are set up, but we have to eat. Using the rock pit with iron grate/grill and hot coals underneath, with you various pots, pans, utensils and other supplies in clean storage bins when not in use. Always have one large pot (32 quart or larger) to consistently boil filtered water for potable drinking use.

Create a prep table out of salvaged wood, steel or from a closed restaurant to prep you various fruits, veggies and meats there. Use cutting boards and sanitize after use. Have plenty of storage bins, knives and utensils. Have a 50 ppm bleach bucket to sanitize cooking and prep area (one cap full). See Lesson 46-FDN Evacuation Kitchen Sanitation rules. So sanitize often and don’t cross contaminate.

A 200 person area or multiple areas joined together would have to create a larger kitchen site with multiple fire pits and prep tables. A 200 person area might have 300-500 people in it due to spouses and children, that’s a lot of food and logistics. One fire pit would just be for making potable water. This situation should upgrade to a field kitchen ASAP.

The serving line can be on folding tables with setup of trays, plates, utensils, napkins-passed out by someone one each, (if available) salad, fresh fruit or veggies, canned fruit, bread or rolls (baked) and butter, entree (one or two choices), potatoes, veggies, cornbread, dessert (baked), and beverages with condiments. Food service should maintain a at least a 1500-1800 calorie daily diet. One major rule: Take what you want, BUT EAT WHAT YOU TAKE!!! DON’T WASTE FOOD!

LESSON 181–HOT TO START UP A FIELD KITCHEN–Setting up a field kitchen is more permanent in nature. It should be built on a wood or concrete (preferred) pad. The dimensions are set up for a 200 person area and should be able to feed 500 people during a meal period. There should be between one and five tents or semi-permanent buildings depending on size. The purposes are dining room, serving room (line), cooking room, prep room, wash room/recyclables room depending on the size of the tents or the buildings. Once again use Lesson 46 for Kitchen Sanitation Standards.

For instance the dining room and serving line can be in the same tent or building. In the seating area there should be 12-eight seat tables or equivalent. The serving line can be of industrial kitchen stainless steel serving line or plain 8-10' folding tables using Sterno containers and ice to keep food hot and cold. Food must be served within 40 minutes if there is no proper refrigeration or heating. Then only make enough food to feed everybody with no waste. Prep food as close as possible to a meal.

The serving line consists of several items, first off are trays if available, the paper plates-issue two or real plates, plastic or steel utensils,(both can be washed), napkins (one per person), (then these items if available) fresh salad, fresh fruit or veggies, canned fruit, bread or rolls (baked) with butter, one or two entrees, potatoes, veggies, cornbread, desert, coffee, tea, milk and bug juice. Daily calories should be between 1500-1800. DON’T WASTE FOOD!!

With all situations, think outside of the box and try to take care of yourself, your family or group for as long as possible. If you can get to a two month level or more that is great. That gives the country and government time to reallocate resources to all the needed places.

CONTINUITY OF GOVERNMENT: The United States Government has dozens of survival plans to ensure the continuity of the government. Lots of states, cities, corporations, and organizations, such as hospitals have these plans also. But the federal government practices extreme planning an a continuing basis.
